REGISTRATION IS SOLD OUT FOR THE 2023-24 SCHOOL YEAR

BAC At The Ridge follows the school year calendar for Stafford County Public Schools. We will be closed on holidays as observed by SCPS as well as follow all emergency procedures put forth by SCPS. Please visit the SCPS website to download the school year calendar and for emergency announcement information. We also encourage you to register to receive emergency alerts via email or text at their website. 

 

School Closings, Delays, Early Dismissals, & Teacher Work Days

BAC At The Ridge follows the decisions of SCPS system with regard to delayed openings, cancellations, and early dismissals due to inclement weather. BAC At The Ridge is open for all enrolled students for delayed openings due to inclement weather. On unexpected and scheduled early dismissal days only students enrolled to attend in the afternoons will be picked up early from school. On Teacher Work Days (scheduled prior to the start of school) BAC At The Ridge is open from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm to care for only students who attend in the afternoons. Parents must register for each Teacher Work Day prior to the event.

 

Full Day Closings

When SCPS makes a decision to close school all day due to inclement weather BAC At The Ridge will be closed for the day as well.

 

Delayed School Openings

On days when SCPS opens late, BAC At The Ridge will open at 6:30 am. The students will be transported to school at the delayed opening time. (BAC At The Ridge will make every effort to open at 6:00 am.) After Care students are welcome when delayed school openings occur (if space permits) and the $15 drop-in fee is added to your account.

 

Early School Closings

BAC At The Ridge will pick up students enrolled in After Care from school at the early dismissal time.  BAC At The Ridge will be open until 6:00 pm. In the event of severe weather conditions, energy problems or other emergencies, BAC At The Ridge may contact parents to pick up students early.

 

Teacher Work Days

On Teacher Work Days (within SCPS’s official first and last day of school), BAC At The Ridge offers all-day child care (6:00 am to 6:00 pm) at an additional cost of $45/day. The current hours for all day is from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. This fee is added to your account.

 

NOTE: No fee adjustments or refunds will be given for BAC At The Ridge closings due to snow, weather, energy problems, emergencies, unanticipated calendar changes, COVID-19 closures, early pick-ups or cancelled field trips.
